02-70 Ordinance I ORDINANCE NO. ,):) ../ f), VILLA GE OF DUBLIN, OHIO AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE COMPENSATION OF SERGEANT DONA LD HUGHES, POLICEMAN OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of .,- i hio, ': of the elected members concurring: '0 Section 1. That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, Sergeant Donald Hughes shall be paid a salary of $6,600.00 per year for performing duties as Policeman of the Village. Section 2. That the Clerk - Treasurer shall pay the said Sergeant Donald Hughes said salary in equal bi-monthly installments on the fifteenth and last day of each month. Section 3. That in addition to the sum specified in Section 1 above, the Clerk - Treasurer shall in further consideration of his services to the Village, pay one-half the premium of a basic medical and hospitalization insurance policy for the benefit of the said Sergeant Donald Hughes as agreed upon by the Mayor. Section 4. That the said Sergeant Hughes shall be subject to call 24 hours a day, and that his minimum work week shall be 48 hours per week. Section 5. That the said Sergeant Hughes shall have a vacation, two (2) weeks per year, at full salary, at such time as the Chief of Police and Mayor may direct. Section 6. That the said Sergeant Hughes shall further be entitled to sick leave with pay, but not to exceed one and one-third days times the number of months of his service to the Village and his right to sick leave with pay shall not accumulate beyond a twelve month period. Section 7. That the said Sergeant Hughes shall perform his duties as Policeman under the direction of the Chief of Police and the Mayor. Section 8. That this ordinance shall supercede the previous ordinance setting the compensation of Donald Hughes as Policeman of the Village, and all provisions of said previous ordinance inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. Section 9. That this ordinance be and the same hereby is I. declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate Ii preservation of the public peace and safety for the reason that it is necessary in order to maintain and improve the police II protection of the Village; and that this ordinance shall take effect I immediately upon its passage.
