WHEREAS, it becomes necessary to increase the fees required for building permits in the Village of Dublin, Ohio: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: SECTION I. Chapter BB-499 of the Dublin Building Code is hereby amended per attachment "A", which is hereby made an official part of this Ordinance. SECTION 2. All sections of Chapter BB-499 or parts thereof that are inconsistent with this Ordinance are, hereby, superceded by this Ordinance. , SECTION ~. J, " CHAPTER BB-499 Armel/HelJ1 " fi II FEES B8-499.01 Fees Requ ired Any person desiring to do or cause to be done any work for which a C permit is required by this Model Bui Iding Code, shall at the time the permit is issued therefor pay to the Village of Dublin a fee in the amount fixed by this Ordinance. Where work for which a permit is required by this Model Bu i I ding Code is started or proceeded with, prior to obtaining such permit, the fees shall be doubled, but the payment of such double fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with the requirements of this Model Sui Iding Code in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties prescribed. How. ever,.this double fee shall not apply to any emergency or urgently necessary work if a permit for such work is obtained as provided for. ******~~************************************************************** r': 8B-499.02 Permit Fees for New Buildings and Additions to Existing . L- Bui Iding. Permit fees for new bui Idings and for additions to existing build- ings shall be as follows: (A) For one family and two family dwelling, not more than two stories in height: minimum fee twenty eight dollars ($28.00) for areas up to and including one thousand square feet. In excess of one thousand square feet, the fee shall be twenty eight dollars ($28.00) plus ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50) for each five hun~red square feet or fraction thereof in excess of one thousand square feet. -(See table "A") '" t 1_ - _. .Ill:. j ,I'. 1 -z- Garages and accessory buildings in residential areas including attached carports: minimum fee fourteen dolla.s and fifty cents ($14.50) for the first five hundred square feet. Over five hundred, but not over one thousand square feet, the fee shall be twenty nine dollars C ($29.00). In excess of one thousand square feet, the fee shall be twenty nine dollars ($29.00) plus ten dollars and fity cents ($10.50) for each five hundred square feet or fraction thereof in excess of ore thousand square fee. (8 ) All other buildings and additions thereto: minimum fee is thir.ty eight dollars and fifty cents ($38.50) plus nine dollars and twenty five cents ($9.25) for each five hundred square feet or fraction there- of in excess of one thousand square feet. (0 ) Maximum fee: the maximum fee shall be five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) (E) Basis for computation of area: I . One story dwelling: that area directly above grade. 2. One and one-half story dwellings: that area,di'rectly above grade, plus one half the area directly below the second floor area. 3. Two story dwellings: twice the area directly above grade. The area of an attached garage shall be included in the dwel- ling area. Basement and attic areas shall not be included. 5. A II other buildings and any additions thereto: a. (A) Heating-New Installations: the fee for new installations shall be ten do II ars ($10.00) for areas up to and including one thousand square fect. In excess of one thousand square feet, the fee sha II be ten dollars ($10.00) plus five dollars ($5.00) for each five humdred square feet or fraction thereof in excess of one thousand square feet. Where alterations consist only in the addition of warm-air outlets a fee of sixty cents ($.60) shall be D charged for each outlet, with a minimum fee of twelve ($12.00). For ,. -j combination residential warm-air heating and cooling air-conditioning . systems, fee shall be for warm-air outlets only at sixty cents ($.60) per outlet plus twelve dollars ($12.00) for winter air-conditioner, plus cooling system fees as set forth in "Fee Schedule-Mechanical Refrigera- tion." (C) For replacement of any boiler or heating unit on which existing radiation is unchanged the fee is twelve dollars ($12.00) plus one dollar ($1.00) for each new radiator unit heater or three hundred square feet of radiant panel if any, the maximum permit fee to be charged for r any boiler or heating unit, with radiators or radiant panels shall be , one hundred dollars ($100.00) \. The maximum fee for each air conditioning unit system with duct work or indirect system ,-... with remote air units shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00) for air , inlets and air outlets only, plus fees as set forth in "Fee Schedule- \... Mechan i'Ca I Refrigeration:. Where alterations consist of air outlets only, a fee of one dollar ($1.00) each shall be charged for each outlet with a minimum fee of twelve dollars ($12.00). (E) Electric Radiant Panel Heaters: for each radiant panel up to a total of ten, one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per panel, with a minimum fee of nine dollars ($9.00). For over ten panels, the fee shall ! be one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20) per panel. Fees for each condensing unit together with one evaporator and one water-saving device shall be as follows, whether applied to self-con- tained systems or remotely installed systems: r. The fee for buildings or structures containing more than sixty five hundred cubic feet and not more than twenty thousand cubic feet shall be fifteen dollars ($15.00). t'" 3. '-' (8 ) Shoring Permit Fees: The fee for shoring a building or structure or any part thereof shall be seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) plus seventy five cents ($.75) for each one hundred square feet of wall or floor area shored. (C) Sidewalk and Street Occupancy: The fee to occupy public property for a period of each four months or fraction thereof shall be four cents ($.04) per square foot, with a minimum charge of sixteen dollars ($16.- 00) . (D) Moving Permit Fees: The fee for bui Iding or structures of one ,.... thousand cubic feet or more, is seventy five cents ($.75) per one \...- thousand cubic foot or fraction thereof, with a minimum charge of tw~lve dollars ($12.00). The fee for each marquee or canopy permit shall be fifty cents ($.50). for each square foot of exterior vertical surface thereof.
