CLERICAL ASSISTANT FOR THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN; FIXING
THE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS OF SAID CLERICAL ASS IST-
....., ANT; ESTABLISHING A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SAID CLERICAL
ASSISTANT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

'-J WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio,
I has by Ordinance 39-76, established the position of
I Clerical Assistant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has appointed L.~I't" jOIl-~
as a Clerical Assistant for the Village of Dublin, Ohio,
and
WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that k~ri

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
Village of Dublin, State of Ohio,~ of the members
elected thereto concurring:
SECTION I. That the appointment by the Mayor of. said
~~ JoRD~At as a Clerical Assistant of
the Village of Dublin, Ohio, be and it is hereby, con-
firmed.
f1"'" SECTION 2. That said Clerical Assistant will be paid
I at the rate according to Schedule I, as follows:

SECrl ON.. That upon comp I et i on of twe I ve (12) months
of service to the Village, said Clerical Assistant shall
be entitled to one week vacation time with pay, said
vacation shall be taken at a time agreed upon by the
Mayor and Village Administrator.
SECTION~. Said Clerical Assistant will be required to
work a f rty (40) hour week and shall be given compen-
satory time off for the hours required to attend Mayor's
Court, and said compensatory time off shall be taken at
a time agreed upon by the Mayor and Villag~ Administrator.

'-J examination, within the next two (2) weeks, if said
exam i nat ion is not already certified.
SECTION ~ That the duties of said Clerical Assistant
shall be, but not necessarily limited to, those des-
cribed in the nJob Description" hereto attached, and
made a part of this Ordinance marked Exhibit nAn.

SECTION'. That said Clerical Assistan~ shall further be
entitled to sick leave with pay, bu~ not to exceed one
and one-half days times ~he number of mon~hs of service
to the Village; provided, however ~hat said Clerical
D Assistant may accumulate unused sic~ leave up to a
maximum of one hundred-twenty (120) dpy.s. Sick leave
shall not be allowed for a period of three (3) days
or more unless a satisfactory statement signed by a
physici8~ showing that due to injury or illness ~he
Clerical Assistant was not able to perform the duties
on the days in question. Such statement shall be fur-
nished to the Mayor or Village Administrator.
SECTION 8. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby
is, declared ~o be an emergency measure necessary for
the i mmed i ate pre servat~i\on of t he pub lie peace, hea It h
and safety of the residents of the Village for the
reason that there is an immedia~e need for a Clerical .
Assistan~ in the performance of Village affairs, and
~hat this Ordinance shall ~ake effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.

performs clerical tasks for the ~layor , Clerk-Treasurer, the
Pol ice Department and the Vi I lage Administrator, and does re-
lated work as required. Thi s is repetitive clerical work per-
formed In accordance with a prescribed routine. Typ i ng is of
a recurring nature and \-1 i II be reviewed for accuracy In form,
spel I ing and grammar. This person should manifest a willing-
... ness to learn and perform tasks of progressively increasing
difficulty.

EXA~1PLES OF VJORK:
Types letters, stat~ments, .memoranda, reports and ot her mat-
erials from clear copy or rough draft prepared by the Mayor,
Clerk-Treasurer, Pol ice Department, Administrator, etc;
r'roofreads a II type\-Ir itten materials;
Sort s, indexes and fi les materials alphabetically and numer-
ical Iy as required, and m~intains necessary records;
Serves as a. receptionist, directing callers to the proper
person or office; . .
Accepts complaints from the public, and reports them to the
proper per son / per son s;
Operates copy machine, adding machine or ot her simple office
machines;
Advises appl icants that bui Iding perm its, sewer and water tap
permits are complete, and issues permits as prepared by the
ElIi Iding I n spector;
After fu II in stru ctli on, Issues sewer and water tap permits,
f:arage sale permits, copies of Zoning Codes, Sub Division .

ACCE PTAB LE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
