AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A
WATER PERMIT, AND FEE SYSTEM
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

~ WHEREAS, ~e Village of Dublin is developing a water distribution
system and; .
WHEREAS,._t~ere is a need to establish a water main front foot connection
I
charge to recover improvement:costs for waterlines not previously assessed
- or not paid for'by the developer, the sub-divider or the property owner and;

WHEREAS, it may be necessary 'for the Village to reimburse private

developer" under future agreements, for taps into waterlines constructed and

financed by them;

NOW TI-IEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Dublin
- :
~ ~f the elected members concurring;
SECTION 1. That the Village of Dublin shall establish a permit system'
and each applicaht shall pay the sum of $247.50 for each permit for existing

L' : lvater'taps and t~e sum of $8.00 per front foot of the property to be served,
; provided that these charges shall not be imposed for the replacement of a

tap or increase ~n the size of an existing tap and provi'ded further th~t thes
, ,
charges shall not be imposed,if the owner of the property concerned can shmv

i .
that he or his predecessor in title paid, or is paying a special assessment
I
i
for the;~construction of any of the water mains which provide such service,
i
,
or at his own expense constructed any of the water mains which provide such
i '
service, anq.: that any unencumbered ftmds may be used to improve ,-':operate
,
or maintain the system and;

SECTION 2. ! That this ordinance be declared an emergency measure
necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the Village I.
