ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH
PROCEDURES IN OBTAINING
AND AWARDING CONTRACTS
FOR PLANNING AND ENGI-
NEERING SERVICES FOR THE
VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dubl in, Ohio,
S- of the elected members thereto concurring:
ECTION I. That to assure that the Village receives the best services at the
most favorable price, the Village Administrator will notify as many qual ified
parties as he sees fit that the Village will consider proposals designed
to explain the parties competence and experience in the fields of Engineer-
ing or Planning or in both, Interested parties should be advised that presen
tations and interviews should be handled only by the person they expect would
serve as Village Engineer or Village Planner should the Village accept their
proposal. Separate contracts will be issued for Engineering and for Planning.
Interested parties shall acknowledge in writing to the Administrator within
30 days if they wish to be considered.
As soon as practical following the period for receipt of acknowledg
ments the Administrator will present those received to Council who, acting as
committee of the whole, shall issue invitations to those parties they desire
to interview to determine the award of the contracts. Interviews shall be
held within 30 days or as soon as practical, thereafter. The Committee
shall submit recommendations for award of an Engineering Services Contract
and a Planning Services Contract.
Counc i 1 shall act to implement those recommendations.
New Contracts will be effective 30 days following the effective
date of the Ordinances establishing them.
The existing contract for engineering and planning services shall bE
terminated on the effective date of the new contracts.
ECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
