The reGular meeting of the Dublin VillaGe Council was held at 8:00 Pm at
the Hunici pal Ruildinp: vri th Mayor Jack Franbe s pres iding.

Dixon moved, seconded 1:Jy Hacklin that the bills be naid. Vote thereon was
unanimous. .." .

IiTr. Andrew Smith appeared before Council regarding a Building Permit for ,J
an addition to the Gamna-Tronix Building on S. High st. Mr. Smith was ask.~
to revise his building plans to incorporate a ~ Sept ic Tank and
to re-submit his plans to the Building Inspector. Mr. Smith agreed to do so.
T~lere was also some discussion on Parking facilities at the Gamna-Tronix
building and it was afreed that there was suffic ient Parking space available.

The question of the Volksy!agon Building '.vas brought before Council again, and
an official of Volkswagon has assured the Solicitor that the Dayment will be
forth-cOI:line; during the week of January 20th, for the Building Permit .
The question arose as to who would serve as The Village Building Inspector
in the a'hsence of TIr. Myers during the month of February. It was moved by
I.'Ir. Karrer and secondod by TIr. Dixon that in the absenco of LIr. N\lTers the
VillaGe Council will aSSUY:le the the duties of Building Inspection, and TiTr.
Robert HcCoy shall serve as a com'-.1ittee of one for the purnose of acceptdmg
aPDlications, maldng inspections, and makin[,; reccof:lendations to the Council
on any Building Permit requests. Vote on the motion was as follows: Denney,
ye s ,Dixon ,ye s, Karrer ,yes ,Hacklin,ye s, LlcCoy ,abstained, Ulrey ,ye s.
I.Ir. Donald Hughes apYJearod before Council to aDoly for a job as a full time
Policeman for the Villa?;e. There vras much discussion and Er. Hughes was
quite thoroughly examined in regard to his qualifications. After considerably
more discussin on the matter 'Jr. Denney introduced Ordinance 02-69 which
deals with the appointment of l.Ir. Eughe s as a Po 1 iceman of the Village.
TriG Ordinance was read for the first time. L'Ir. McCoy then made a motion to
tatJle any action on this Ordinance 02-69 until the next regular Council meetin".
This motion was seconded by lIr. Dixon. Considerably more discussion follO'.vod
and the vote on Mr. McCoys motion was as follows: Denney,No,Dixon,PASS,Karrer

dispense with the three time reading rule. Vote on the motion was: Denney,yes

rIr. John Carlisle representing the Gledhill Road I.'Iachinery Co. appeared befor
Council in regard to the possibility of his selling a Cinder Spreader to the
VillaGe. "To action was taken, but the li;iayor informod Fr. Carlisle that the
Vi l1age may be contact in.f':, him at a later date.
