AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR
TO ACCEPT THE DEDICATION FO A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, KNOWN AS THE
I.O.O.F. CEMETARY; TO ACCEPT THE FUNDS IN AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE
I.O.O.F. CEMETARY ASSOCIATION ENDOWMENT FUND; TO CREATE A COMMIS-
SION TO PROVIDE FOR THE FUTURE ADMINISTRATION, CARE AND MAINTENANCE
OF THE VILLAGES' CEMETARIES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Independant Order of Odd Fellows
of Dubl in, Ohio, I.O.O.F. Cemetary Association, the current owners of a
certain tract of land, more particularly known as the I.O.O.F. Cemetary,
are desirous of dedicating said tract of land which is, and has been, used
as a Cemetary, to the Village of Dublin provided said Village agrees for
itself, and its successors and assigns, that it will administer, care for
and maintain said cemetary, and use the said Cemetary Association Endowment
Funds for the specific purpose for which they were designated; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the Village of Dublin,
Ohio, that it would be in the best interests of the residents of said
Village if said Cemetary is accepted for dedication as aforesaid;
NOW, THEREFORE be it, and it is hereby ORDAINED by the Council of
the Village of Dublin, Ohio 5' of the elected members concurring,
that:
SECTION 1. The Village Administrator be, and he is hereby, ~uthorized and
directed to accept, on behalf of the Village of Dubl in, a certain tract of
land lying adjacent to and South of West Bridge Street commonly known as
the I.O.O.F. Cemetary, for dedication to said Village to be operated by
said Village as a Cemetary; and
SECTION 2. The ViI lage Administrator is, further, directed to accept from
the I.O.O.F. Cemetary Association certain funes, now in their possession,
identified as IIPerpetual Care Endowmentsll, and, said Administrator, on
accepting said funds, is to, forthwith, transfer them to the Village
Clerk-Treasurer who shall maintain said funds, and any funds subsequently
coming into his possession for the same purpose, in a separate account with
expenses therefrom to be made only for the purpose of maintaining said
Cemetary in accordance with committments previously made by the said 1.0.0. F.
Cemetary Association when, and if, the same are not contrary to law; and

SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby directed to appoint, with the advice and
consent of Council, a Village of Dubl in Cemetary Commission composed of
three Village residents; said Commission shall: oversee the care, maintenan
and operation of all Village Cemetaries; sha 11 promulgate whatever rules
and regulations it deems necessary to properly carry out its duties; shall
recommend to Village Council the hiring, promoting and firing of any and
all personnel necessary to work in said Village Cemetaries; and shall other

wise operate said Village Cemetaries all in accordance wi th the I aw; end
SECTION 4. Said Cemetary Commission is, further, directed to report to
the Village Council, at least quarterly, concerning its operations, in-
come, expenses and recommendations.
I SECTION 5. This Ordinance be in force and take effect on and after the
I earliest period allowed by Law.
