AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE COMPENSATION AND
APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF
ARCHITECT FEES FOR THE DESIGN OF A MUNICIPAL
D BUILDING FOR THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 70-76 appointed R. Richard Royce, Architect, for
the purpose of designing and supervising the construction of a municipal
building for the Village of Dublin, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish the compensation to be paid
to said Architect, and to appropriate the funds therefore;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it, and it is, hereby ORDAINED by the Council of
the Village of Dublin, Ohio, , of the elected members concurring, that:

SECT! ON 1. In consideration of the Architect furnishing design,
working drawings, specifications and supervision both for bidding on and the
construction of a municipal building for the Village of Dublin, Ohio, the
Village agrees to pay, and hereby appropriates sufficient money to pay said
[J Architect monthly, on bills submitted by him based upon the percentage of

work done, a rate establ ished by the lesser of the following schedule:
A. $30.00 per hour design time and $18.00 per hour
production and supervision time; or
B. Six per cent (6%) of the total construction cost.
Provided, however, that in no event will the total paid said Archi-
tect under these schedules exceed $9,000.00.
SECTION 2. Any renderings in addition to those already provided
to the Village will be supplied at additional expense based upon the cost to
the Architect.
SECT! ON 3. All drawings, designs, specifications and original
tracings will remain the property of the Architect.
~ SECT! ON 4. This Ordinance is, hereby, declared to be an emer-
gency measure necessary for the protection of the health, safety or welfare
of the residents of the Village for the reason that said Village is in im-
mediate need of a municipal building, and, therefore, this Ordi~shall

take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. 9
