Ot{-bV VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO Ordinance requesting bids on a contract furnishing to the Village of Dubli , I Ohio, garbage and rubbish hauling service. r 1 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, -,"-. III members present herein concurring: SECTION I. That the Council finds that the present contract for garbage and rubbish collecting expires March 5, 1964, and finds that the Village of Dublin is in need of a contract for said service subsequent to that date. SECTION II. That this contract shall be for a period commencing March 6, 1964 and to continue until March 5, 1966 and shall provide that the refuse, garbage, trash, rubbish and cinders be collected from the residences of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, on the same specified day of each week. The said . garbage, rubbish and trash to be removed from any accessible location upon . . any residential property. If a legal holiday falls on said specified day, then 1 ...., the trash and garbage collection may be made on the next day of that week. I I .. The relationship between the Village of Dublin and that of the contracting part I is to be solely that of a contractual relationship and the contractor is to fur- nish all equipment and labor for all services to be performed hereunder. Co - tractor shall be responsible for any negligence of contractor or any of con- tractor's agents, officers or employees. Contractor shall carry industrial compensation insurance of the State of Ohio and shall carry and pay all lawful payroll and unemployment compensation due any governmental agency. All equipment including trucks and automobiles, but not limited thereto, used in said garbage and trash collection shall be protected by public liability and property damage insurance in the amount of at least $50,000.00 to protect ~ the Village of Dublin, Ohio, and its inhabitants. All containers furnished by ill the householders shall not be over 30 gallon in size. Any brush, newspapers or magazines shall be tied in bundles or in containers and the brush to be tied in bundles not over 4 feet long and any brush or ashes to be placed at the curb line. The term rubbish shall include all household waste matter such a bottles', tin cans, food co~tainers, ashes, trees and hedge clippings, grass I trimmings, leaves and other waste material accumulating about residential - -- ... - ----- - - - - k I I property. The term rubbish does not include waste material accumulated in the construction, remodeling or repair of buildings. Contractor shall remove all refuse and trash in Village owned trash cans weekly, not to exceed eight (8) in number. ,,-, Bids shall specify a contracturallump sum price for each month during ..... the continuance of this contract for garbage and refuse and trash hauling ser- vice for all of the existing residences in the Village of Dublin at this time and bids shall specify an additional price for each additional residence built and occupied after the awarding of this contract and said bid shall be on a monthly basis for each additional house. Contract to be entered into shall specify that the Village of Dublin shall have the right to cancel this contract without any liability whatsoever to the Village of Dublin on sixty days written notice to the contractor of the cancella tion of this contract. That the Village Clerk shall advertise by legal notice the above specifications for the contract and of acceptance of bids for the ~aid'~:,: contrC\ct for three (3) consecutive weeks in the Rural Urban News. That all bids shall be opened by the Clerk of the Village of Dublin on March 2, 1964. SECTION IV. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety and general welfare for the reason that the garbage and rubbish collection is needed to protect the peace, health, safety and general ~ welfare of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, and this ordinance shall take effect an I I 1. r be in force immediately upon its passage.
