SEC TION 1. That the Village of Dublin, Ohio, shall furnish to all newly hired i 1 full-time police officers a basic uniform and basic equipment to be used by the officer in the performance of his duties as a police officer of the Village , of Dublin. That the total expenditure by the Village in connection with the I ' purchase and issuance of such basic uniform shall not exceed ,/00. I I That all items of the basic uniform and of equipment issued to newly I hired full-time police officers of the Village of Dublin as provided in Section , , 1 above, all items of basic uniform issued to police officers presently employed by the Village of Dublin on a full-time basis together with all items of the uniform and equipment previously issued to police officers presently employed by the Village of Dublin, shall be and remain the property of the Village of Dublin. At the time of issuance of such items of uniform and/ or equipment, the officer shall sign a receipt for same to the Clerk-Treasurer , of the Village of Dublin. When the officer terminates service as a police /, officer of the Village of Dublin, all items of uniform and equipment issued to him shall be returned to the Clerk-Treasurer. Whenever, in the opinion ( of the Chief, an item of uniform or equipment becomes unserviceable as a result of ordinary wear and tear, the officer to whom such item was issued shall turn said item into the Clerk-Treasurer together with a statement , signed by the Chief of Police as to the unservicability of said item, and i I M -. 1-, , I -, --.---- ~_._-- _. _,...l -~r' - I 1 , I ~ II . Provided, however, that'the total expenditure by the Village of Dublin for the replacement of items of uniform and equipment shall not exceed I ,,I j O.O~ Dollars per year. The fact of replacement shall be noted on the receipt referr d , .." to above and such notation shall be initialled by the officer. \. ' ',- i J> V SECTION 4. Police officers of the Village of Dublin shall receive no uniform allowance. The purchase and replacement of items of uniform and equipment not provided for above shall be the responsibility of the individual officer. Replacement of items of uniform and equipment which are a part of the basic issues as defined above and which must be replaced for any reason other than as a result of ordinary wear and tear, shall be replaced at the cost of the officer. SECTION 5. I That the mayor and the Chief of Police shall determine the exact > specifications of the uniform and equipment, subject, to the speci fications - J and cost limits contained in this Ordinance, and provided that the /- specifications shall be uniform as to appearance throughout the department. SECTION 6.
