\ ORDINANCE NO. JD-7 :; ,VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK-
TREASURER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF
THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO, WITH THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF PERRY TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO,
PROVIDING FOR POLICE COMMUNICATION SERVICE TO BE
PROVIDED BY SAID PERRY TOWNSHIP TO THE VILLAGE OF
DUBLIN AND FOR THE PAYMENT BY THE VILLAGE OF
~o DUBLIN TO SAID PERRY TOWNSHIP IN CONSIDERATION FOR
SAID SERVICE THE SUM OF $l20.00 PER MONTH
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, Sate of
Ohio, (p of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer be,
and they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract by and
between the Village of Dublin, Ohio, and the Board of Trustees of Perry
Township, Franklin County, Ohio, for police communications service on the
terms contained in the agreement attached hereto which is hereby made a
part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
" 1 force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

A G R E E MEN T
This Agreement made and entered into by and between the Board of
Township Trustees of Perry Township, Franklin County, Ohio, a Board of
Township Trustees as defined in Chapter 505 of the Ohio Revised Code,
- sometimes hereinafter referred to as IIPerryll, and the Vi11 age of Dublin,
Ohio, a municipal corporation, sometimes hereinafter referred to as IIDublinll:
1. In consideration of the payment of ONE HUNDRED TIvENTY DO~S(120.00
month by Dublin to Perry, Perry agrees to provide communication service
twenty-four (24) hours per day and seven (7) days per week to the Police
Department of the Village of Dublin, Ohio.
2. It is mutually agreed by the parties as follows:
(a) Dublin shall, at its cost, install and maintain a police
phone in the Perry Township Radio Room during the
period of this contract.
(b) Perry shall answer such phone and shall communicate
the message or request to the Dublin Police Department
in accordance with generally acceptable procedures for
fIiI'" dispatching and in accordance with such procedures as
shall from time to time be prescribed by the Chief of
Police of the Village of Dublin, Ohio.
( c) Perry shall answer the Dublin cruiser radio and shall
communicate messages and requests in accordance with
generally acceptable dispatching procedures and in
accordance with such procedures as shall from time to
time be prescribed by the Chief of Police of the Village of
Dublin, Ohio.
(d) Perry shall keep a log of all communications referred to
in Paragraphs (b) and (c) above. Such log and all other
papers and information relating to the operation of the
Dublin Police Department shall be maintained by Perry
and transferred to the Dublin Police Department in
accordance with procedures prescribed by the Chief of
Police of the Village of Dublin, Ohio. The Perry
dispatchers shall not release or divulge any information
relating to Dublin Police operations to persons other
than officials of the Village of Dublin except as
necessitated by generally acceptable dispatching procedures.
(e) Dispatching shall be performed only by qualified
individuals hired by Perry for that purpose.

, (h) Perry shall perform all of its obligations under this
I contract in accordance with procedures set forth by the
. Chief of Police of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, and shall
in no way interfere with the operation of the Dublin PolicE
Department.
3. Perry further agrees that 'its dhpatchers may serve as
violations referees of the Traffic Violation Bureau of theqVillage of Dublin,
Ohio, provided, however, that Dublin shall furnish a lock box at its expense
and shall pay any other expenses involved in the operation of such Traffic
Violation Bureau including the erection of a sign and the cost of furnishing
fidelity bonds. It is agreed between the parties that Dublin may erect a sign
on the building housing the Perry Radio Room indicating that it is the Dublin
Traffic Violation Bureau.
This Agreement shall become effective r()A"f

remain in force for a period of six (6) months. The contract will automatically
be renewed for additional periods of six (6) months unless notice is received
by either party from the other that they wish to terminate the contract at the
expiration of such six-month period.
In Witness Whereof, the Board of Township Trustees, by Lorenzo D.
II! Sheets, James Nolan, Jr., and John Shonkwiler, its members, by authority
of Resolution 61-730f said Board passed on the 9th day of March ,
