Ordinance requesting bids on purchase of new police cruiser and request- ing bids on sale of present police cruiser. Be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, all five ',7. (~ members present therein concurring: .., SECTION 1. That the legislative authority of the Village of Dublin, finds that the present 19,6 Chevrolet police cruiser is unfit for public use and further finds that the said Village of Dublin has need of another vehicle of the same type and further finds that it will be for the best interests of the Municipal Corporation that the sale of the obsolete and unfit existing police cruiser be made simultaneously with the purchase of a new police cruiser. Council further finds that it will be for the best interests of the Corporation to have the selling price for the 19,6 cruiser quoted against the purchase price of the new vehicle and to consumate the sale and purchase by a single contract with the lowest and best bidder to be determined by subtracting from the selling price of the vehicle to be pur- ~ chased the purchase price offered to the Municipality for the trade-in. ~ . SECTION 2. Notice of accepting bids on the purchase of the new cruiser ~ and the sale of the old cruiser shall be published three consecutive weeks in the Worthington News. Said publishing dates to be M:ay l,th, :May 22nd, and May 29th. SECTION 3. That all bids shall be opened by the Clerk of the Village of . . Dublin on lll:ay 31, 19,8. That a bond or a certified check in the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) accompany each bid. SECTION 4. That this ordinance be and the same hereby is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the blli~ediate preservation of the public peace, safety and the general welfare for the reason that said cruiser is needed to provide adequate police protection in the Village of Dublin, Ohi ; and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon passage n and publication. .~ ~ ~_ , <- l.f .
