ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF VILLAGE A DMINISTRA TOR; FIXING THE COMPENSA TION OF SA ID VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR; LISTING THE DUTIES OF SAID VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Village of Dublin, Ohio, is in need of an employee to perform the duties listed in Section 3 of this ordinance, as well as certain of the duties listed in Section 735.273 of the Revised Code; and WHEREAS, Section 735.271 of the Revised Code provides that the legislative authority of a village may establish the position of Village A dministrator by ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, G of the elected members concurring: SECTION 1. That the position of Village Administrator of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, be and hereby is established. SECTION 2. That from and after the date the Village Administrator takes office, said Village Administrator shall be paid a salary of $ lz .0 . , ./ per year for performing his duties as Village Administrator of the Village of Dublin, Ohio. SECTION 3. That the following shall be the additional duties of said Village Administrator over and above those listed in Section 735.273 of the Revised Code: (a) Prepare and present any special studies authorized from i I time to time by either the Mayor or Council of the i I I Village of Dublin. i I ! (b) A ct as purchasing agent for the Village of Dublin when i so authorized by the Mayor or Council of the Village of Dublin. I I I (c) Be in charge of public relations and all related activity for the Village of Dublin. (d) Coordinate any and all federal, state and regional and local programs of any nature whatsoever. I (e) A ttend such conferences, meetings and seminars as a representative of the Village of Dublin when so authorized I by the Mayor or Council of the Village of Dublin. I I (f) Prepare charts and graphs to indicate the status of the I I Village relating to its growth physically and economically I i I i I and periodically present such information to Council. I, I I I I ! . . .... (g) Perform other duties from time to time as the Mayor or Council may authorize. (h) Appoint employees, agents and assistants, provided that such positions are first authorized by the legislative authority of the Village and approved by the Mayor. (0 Coordinate efforts to obtain water and sewer facilities for the Village of Dublin; and distribution of same to the re s idents of the Village. (j) Supervise the maintenance of any and all equipment owned by the Village. (k) A dminister health, safety and service programs of the Village. (1) Make recommendations to Council concerning staff and equipment necessary for the Village to properly function. (m) Prepare annual employee evaluations and present proposed wage increases to Council. SECTION 4. That the Village of Dublin shall provide and pay for Blue Cross - Blue Shield family insurance coverage for said Village A dministra tor. SECTION 5. That, upon completion of twelve (12) months of servicel I to the Village, the said Village Administrator shall be entitled to a minimum ! I 1 of one week vacation time with pay, said vacation to be taken at a time agreed I upon by the Village Administrator and the Mayor. SECTION 6. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace and safety of the residents of the Village for the reason that the aforementioned duties are currently pressing upon the Village and there is an immediate need for the performance of same; and that this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
