ORDINANCE NO. J ~- 1;Z , VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
AN ORDINANCE A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY ENGINEER'S
OFFICE FOR THE REPAIR AND MATERIAL NECESSARY TO
ACCOMPLISH SAME OF MARION STREET, LONGVIEW STREET,
GRANDVIEW STREET, SOUTH FRANKLIN STREET, RIVERVIEW
NORTH and SOUTH, MONTEREY DRIVE, HIGH SCHOOL ROAD,
AND ALLEY FROM RT. 161 TO SOUTH STREET; SETTING
THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT THAT MAY BE PAID AS THE
PURCHASE PRICE FOR SAID REPAIR AND MATERIAL;
APPROPRIATING SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO MEET THE MAXIMUM
AMOUNT THAT MAY BE PAID AS PURCHASE PRICE FOR SAID
REPAIR AND MATERIAL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the above-named streets, drives, alleys and roads within
the Village are in dire need of repair, and
WHEREAS, Section 735.053 of the Revised Code of Ohio authorizes the
legislative authority of any city or village to, by ordinance, authorize the
Mayor to enter into a contract, without advertising and bidding, for services
or the purchase of material, equipment or supplies from any department,
division, agency or political subdivision of the state;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute a contract in the name of the Village, with the Franklin
County Engineer's Office for the repair and material necessary to accomplish
same of the above listed streets, drives, alleys and roads within the Village.
SECTION 2. That the maximum amount that may be paid as the purchas
i price for such repair and material necessary to accomplish same is
Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00).
SECTION 3. That the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Street Fund of the Village to meet the
maximum amount that may be paid as the said purchase price.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared
to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public safety for the reason that the above listed streets, drives, alleys and
roads within the Village are unfit for public travel, and that this ordinance
shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
