A special meeting of the Dublin City Council was called to order by
Vice-Mayor, Barbara A. Maurer, at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 24,
1987.
Council members present were: Mr. Amorose, Mr. Jankowski, Ms. Maurer,
Mr. Rozanski, and Mr. Sutphen.
Mr. Hansley and Ms. Jordan of the City Staff were also present as was
Mr. Robert Wandell of Wandell & Schnell Architects, Inc.
Ordinance No. 136-87 - Accept Lowest/Best Bid for Construction of
Community Swimming Pool. First Reading.
Mr. Jankowski introduced the Ordinance.
The recommendation of Ms. Jordan was to include the seven alternates;
the pool heater, the pool extension, the automatic chemical feed,
the ornamental fence, the underground irrigation system, and the site
furniture and cabanas.
Discussion followed regarding the ornamental fence which was a condition
of approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission - whether it should
be wrought iron as proposed or galvanized steel or aluminum.
It was decided that the type of material for the fence would be
determined at a later date after further review and study.
Mr. Sutphen moved to do away with the three time reading rule and treat
as an emergency.
Mr. Jankowski seconded the motion.
The vote on the motion was 5-0 for approval.
The vote on the Ordinance was 5-0 in favor.
Ordinance No. 137-87 - Providing for the Issuance and Sale of
$1,200,000.00 Notes for Community Swimming Pool. First Reading.
Mr. Jankowski introduced the Ordinance.
Mr. Amorose moved to do away with the three time reading rule and treat
as an emergency.
Mr. Jankowski seconded the motion.
The vote was 5-0 in favor of the motion.
The vote on the Ordinance was 5-0 in favor.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:47 P.M. by the Vice-Mayor.
