Re: Resolution 41-26 – Accepting the Lowest and Best Bid for the Annual Storm
Structure Maintenance Program 2026 Project, 26-019-CIP
Background
The Annual Storm Structure Maintenance Program (Program), as defined in the 2026-2030 Capital
Improvements Program (CIP), provides for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair of storm
structures associated with the public storm sewer system, which includes curb and gutter inlets,
catch basins and manholes throughout the City. The Program is a critical component of the City’s
ongoing efforts to maintain the public storm sewer system and meet the National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II regulations established by the Ohio Environmental
Protection Agency (OEPA).
The Annual Storm Structure Maintenance Program 2026 Project (Project) was identified as part of
the Program and includes labor and materials for the repair of twenty-six (26) deficient storm
structures identified during routine inspections. Maintenance of the storm structures helps route
stormwater runoff to the storm sewer system as intended and reduce the occurrence of flooding.
