Re: Resolution 33-26 - Accepting the Lowest and Best Bid for the Dublin
Community Recreation Center Phase II Renovation Project
Summary
On August 5, 2026, six bids were received and publicly opened for the Phase II Renovation
Project. This phase focuses on renovating the existing Tallas, Main Hallway Restrooms and
Abbey Theater Lobby areas.
Attached are renderings of the proposed designs for each area. The improvements are intended
to enhance both the functionality and appearance of these well-used spaces while improving
accessibility, circulation and overall user experience. Once completed, the renovated areas will
provide a more welcoming, modern, and accessible environment for the community and better
support the ongoing use of these popular amenities. Although this phase of the renovation
focuses on the three identified areas, planning for future improvements and phasing continues.
Following a thorough review of all bids received, staff determined that Miles-McClellen
Construction’s bid of $1,543,896.00 is the lowest and best bid, approximately 36 percent under
the original project cost estimation of $2,400,000. The following is a summary of the bids
