ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE
2026 MUIRFIELD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter, for the 2026
Muirfield Landscape Maintenance Contract
WHEREAS, Council has determined the base bid in the amount of
$119,500.00 submitted by R&R Lawncare & Landscaping, LLC to be the lowest
and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The base bid in the amount of $119,500.00 submitted by R&R
Lawncare & Landscaping, LLC is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts
with R&R Lawncare & Landscaping, LLC for the performance and completion of
the 2026 Muirfield Landscape Maintenance Contract pursuant to the
Advertisement, Proposal and Contract Documents for said Project on file in the
Department of Parks and Recreation.
Section 3. Acceptance of this bid would establish a contract for up to three years,
with annual renewal options subject to mutual agreement.
Section 4. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City
Manager, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or
other appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements
and instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to
implement this Resolution and complete the work for this Project.
Section S. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Landscape Maintenance Contract
Summary
On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, three (3) bids were opened for the Muirfield Landscape
Maintenance Contract. This contract provides mowing, planting bed maintenance, weed control
and fertilization of specific areas within Muirfield. Exhibit A shows the maintenance areas covered
by this contract.
The bid requests included unit pricing for landscape repairs and replacements beyond routine
maintenance to address damage resulting from accidents or plant decline. Any such work would be
authorized by Dublin staff to ensure appropriate appearance standards are maintained. Acceptance
of this bid would establish a contract for up to three years, with annual renewal options subject to
mutual agreement.
Staff has reviewed the bids received and determined the lowest and best bid submitted was from
R&R Lawncare & Landscaping, LLC. in the amount of $119,500.00, which is 19% less than the
2026 budgeted amount of $149,000.00.

Staff recommends the adoption of Resolution xx-26, accepting the lowest and best bid by R&R
Lawncare & Landscaping, LLC in the amount of $119,500. This contractor has completed prior
projects for the City, and staff have evaluated their work as satisfactory. The contractor
demonstrates a strong understanding of the required service standards and the scope of the
contract area.
