Resolution No. 01-26 Passed :
ADOPTING THE CITY OF DUBLIN’S GOALS FOR 2026
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has a long history of engaging in an annual goal setting
process to establish its near and long-term priorities for the community; and
WHEREAS, many of the goals of Council from previous years have become operational
in nature and remain active and guide the actions of both Council and the Administration
in their budgeting, planning and programming initiatives; and
WHEREAS, City Council endeavors to be strategic in its deliberations regarding these
goals so that the current opportunities, needs and challenges facing the community are
fully considered; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to formally adopt its 2026 goals to help guide the City in
shaping its future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ‘{__ of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. As a result of the annual goal-setting process, Dublin City Council hereby
adopts the following goals for 2026:
1. Goal i. Foster Community Connection and Well-Being
Advance wellness programs, innovative partnerships and expanded access to
social, digital and mobility networks, foster a community where all residents can
thrive physically, mentally and socially, through the Dublin Wellness Alliance and
other programs.
2. Goal 2. Advance Metro Center Revitalization
Execute redevelopment strategies outlined in the Metro Center Revitalization
Plan and Design Framework. Secure critical land and complete zoning code and
design guidelines to promote catalytic redevelopment within Metro Center.
3. Goal 3. Create a Premier Athletic and Recreation Campus
Advance the vision of a premier destination that connects community, drives
economic development and delivers a uniquely Dublin experience. Develop a
preferred concept and translate it into an implementable plan that positions the
facility as a national leader in sports and recreation and a source of local pride.
4. Goal 4. Catalyze Economic Development in the West Innovation
District
Adopt the West Innovation District Integrated Implementation Strategy and
advance the strategic infrastructure and development initiatives it outlines to
unlock the District’s full economic and innovation potential.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Re: Resolution 01-26 – Adopting the City of Dublin’s Goals for 2026
Background
This resolution is for the adoption of City Council’s 2026 Goals. These goal statements were
discussed by Council during the November 14, 2025 Council Fall Retreat. Feedback was gathered,
and changes were made to the goal statements. Council consensus was to have staff bring
forward the agreed-upon goals at the January 5, 2026, Council Meeting for adoption.
Execution of the goals and related topics will be driven by the Council regular meetings, work
sessions, and committee schedules as appropriate. Staff will provide updates to Council regarding
the status of the goals on a monthly basis in the City Manager’s Report.
Recommendation
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 01-26.
