Background
Re: Resolution 40-09 -Dalmore Park Development Project
Memo
On Thursday, August 13, 2009, the bids were opened for the Dalmore Park Development
Project. The funds for this project are included in the CIP budget in the approximate amount of
$368,000. The base bid estimate for this project was $315,222.
Three (3) bids were received.
Base Bid
Builderscape $244,813.00
Peabody Landscape Group $102,500.00
Mid-West Landscape Inc $271,800.00
Peabody Landscape Group has withdrawn their bid because they did not bid on the project in its
entirety. Therefore, Builderscape submitted the lowest/best bid.
This project consists of all materials and labor necessary for the construction of a
playground, basketball and bocce ball courts, shelter rehabilitation and landscaping.
Complete construction details are available for review in the Council Planning room.
A public input session was held on the design of this park, and the design was approved by the
Planning & Zoning Commission on July 9, 2009.
The City provided the playground equipment, bike rack, basketball system and site furnishings,
which cost approximately $75,000. This amount is in addition to the bid portion of this project.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 40-09, accepting Builderscape's base bid of
$244,813. Builderscape has completed work for the City of Dublin and staff has found their
work to be most satisfactory.
