A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE DUBLIN
COMMUNITY PLAN AND PROVIDING FOR
PERIODIC REVIEW THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City Council at their May 24, 1986 workshop directed the
Dublin Planning Department to undertake a comprehensive planning process
for the City; and,
WHEREAS, in February of 1987 a Community Workshop was held and in March of
1987 a Community Survey was conducted to incorporate into the planning
process the attitudes and opinions of the entire community; and,
WHEREAS, the Dublin Planning Department conducted a systematic planning
process that identified and analyzed the community's existing conditions,
problems and needs; and,
WHEREAS, a preliminary policy plan including community objectives and
supporting development principles was presented and reviewed by Council
and members of various public boards and commissions throughout the
spring of 1988; and
WHEREAS, this Council has carefully considered the Community Plan and has
held a public hearing thereon and finds that said plan constitutes a
suitable, logical, and timely plan for the future development of the
City of Dublin over the ensuing years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, 5 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the document consisting of text, map and charts entitled
"Community Plan/Dublin, Ohio and dated July, 1988 is hereby adopted as
the Master Plan of the City of Dublin.
Section 2. That the Dublin Planning Commission be charged with reviewing
the Community Plan every two years and recommending to Council changes or
additions to the Plan which the Commission considers necessary.
Section 3. That this Community Plan of the City of Dublin shall be in
full foce and effect within the City and in unincorporated areas within
three miles of the City within the time period required by law.
