Root, the Agent for the petitioners; and WHEREAS, the intended use of the property is to fulfill the municipality's open space requirements; and WHEREAS, a public hearing will be required before the Union County Board of Commissioners on September 12, 1988; and WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that, prior to said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall adopt a statement indicating what services, if any, the Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring that; Section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following municipal services for the 9.398± acres in Jerome Township-Union County upon the annexation of said area to the City of Dublin, Ohio: a Y m V Police The City provides Police service on a full twenty-four hour basis and communications are contracted from Perry Township. The City also has mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. Fire Fire protection to this property is currently provided by the Plain City Fire Department in Union County. This service would not change with annexation. They maintain mutual aid agreements with Washington, Perry Concord Townships who would assist in providing service to this area. Sanitation Residential refuse collection services are contracted by the City and would be available. Street The City has a Street Maintenance Department which Maintenance provides excellent service in the area of street and road maintenance. Section 2. The proposed area to be annexed is to be designated open space, and therefore sewer and water service is not required. In the event that these utilities may, in the future, be desired the service would be pro- vided by on site facilities in accordance with the regulations of Union County governing those facilities or in the event that Dublin is able to supply those services itself or secure sewer and water service contracts with area agencies, the area would be served under those provisions. Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. Passed this 15th day of August , 1988.
