HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-86 ResolutionRECORD OF RESOLUTIONS National Graphics Corp., Cols., O. p~jj~ Form No. 6233-A r ------------- Passed __-- Resolution 'o. 12-86 TO SET FORTH A STATEMENT OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE AREA CONTAINED IN A PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 46.7 ACRES IN CONCORD TOWNSHIP, DELAWARE COUNTY AND WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO, AS REQUIRED BY SECTION N0. 709-031 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE. -19-------- WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 46.7 acres in Concord and Washington Townships was duly filed by John D. Wolf; and, WHEREAS, a hearing on said petition is scheduled before the Board of Delaware County Commissioners on September 8, 1986; and WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that before said hearing, the Municipal Legislative Authority shall adopt a state- ment indicating what services, if any, the municipal corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation, upon its annexation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. 'That the Village of Dublin will provide the following municipa services for the 46.7 acres in Concord 'T'ownship, Delaware County and Washington Township in Franklin County upon the annexation of said area to the Village of llublin, Ohio: Police. The Village currently employs twenty (20) fulltime personnel in the Police Department and provides service on a full twenty-four hour basis. Equipment is excellent, with a program of replacement of at least two (2) new cruisers on an annual basis. Communications are contracted from Perry 'Township, and the Village also has mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. Fire. Fire protection is currently provided by well-staffed departments in Concord 'Township in Delaware County and Washington and Perry 'Townships in Franklin County. 'They too have mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. Sanitation. Residential refuse collection services are contracted by the Village and would be available. Street Maintenance. The Village has an expanding Street Maintenance Department, well equipped to provide excellent services in the area of street and road maintenance. Sewer and Water Service. '1'he Village has sewer and water service area contracts with the City of Columbus and the subject property is within said service areas. Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. Passed this 18th day of August 1986.
