WHEREAS, this Council and staff have discussed the location of a school site within the Earlington Subdivision; and WHEREAS, at this initial stage of discussions, it appears in the best interest of the citizens of Dublin to locate such a school site within the 262 acre park/school site within said subdivision; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, 4 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. Council hereby agrees, in principle, with the concept that a portion of the 262 acre park/school site in the Earlington Subdivision may be used as a school site, as amended. (See Exhibit A attached.) Section 2. Council and staff shall work in cooperation with the Dublin Board of Education toward reaching an acceptable agreement to implement the location of a school on said site. This Memorandum of Understanding is in relationship to Resolution No. 07-86 of the Village of Dublin Council concerning an agreement in principle to locate a school site on the 262 acre parcel dedicated as a park/school site in the Earlington Subdivision. The Council of the Village of Dublin and the Board of Education of the Dublin Local Schools hereby agree to work in the best interests of the citizens of Dublin to locate such a school within that 262 acre park/school site, and shall cooperate in reaching an acceptable agreement to implement the location of the school on said site. Further, the parties hereto agree that a site plan. of the proposed facility including but not limited to such elements as street layout architectural style and design, landscaping, and parking shall be subject to review and approval of the_Village of Dublin Planning and Zoning Commission and Council pursuant to the Vi11aQe Code. The parties further understand that the school will lease the property for one dollar ($1.00) per year for a ninety-nine (99) year term, and that if, and when, the property is abandoned for school purposes, it will revert back to the Village of Dublin. The parties further understand that the contemplated facilities will include, but not be limited to, an elementary school, gymnasium, playground and parking area, along with other facilities to be determined by the parties as the discussions and negotiations for a final contract and lease are completed.
