TO SET FORTH A STATEMENT OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES
~ TO BE PROVIDED TO THE AREA CONTAINED IN A ~
--~- ~! PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 101.3 ACRE(S) IN ~
~ WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN i
AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 709-031 OF THE OHIO
REVISED CODE AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. i
~~ WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 101.3 acr

~ Township was duly filed by Harrison Smith, Jr.; and

', WHEREAS, a hearing on said petition is scheduled before the Board of
County Commissioners of Franklin County on January 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that before
said hearing the Municipal Legislative Authority shall adopt a statement
indicating what services, if any, the municipal corporation will provide
*_o the territory proposed for annexation upon annexation; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Office
of Management and Budget in that it is immediately necessary to present
this ordinance to the Board of Franklin County Commissioners in accordance
with Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code all for the preservation of
the public peace, proeprty, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of *_he elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Village of Dublin will provide the following municipal
services for 101.3 acres in irlashington Township upon the annexation of
said area to the Village of Dublin.
Police: The Village currently employs eighteen (18) full-time personnel
in the Police Department and provides service on a full twenty four (24)
hour basis. Equipment is excellent with a program of replacement of at
least two (2) new cruisers on an annual basis. Communications are
contracted from Perry Township, and the Village also has mutual aid
agreements with other Franklin County municipalities.
Fire: Is currently provided by well staffed departments in Washington
Township, Perry Township and Concord Township in Delaware County. They
too have mutual aid agreements with other municipalities.
Sanitation: Residential refuse collection services would be available.
Street Maintenance: The Village has an expanding Street Maintenance
Department, well equipped to provide excellent services in the area of
street and road maintenance. In addition, the Village has a progressive
Capital Improvement Plan which is reviewed on an annual basis.
Sewer and Water Service: The Village has sewer and water service contracts
with the City of Co1_urnbus and the subject property is within said service
areas. The subject property would be served as soon as legal and financial
obligations would permit.
Section 2. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is
hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after the
earliest period allowed by law.
