HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/04/1968 247 o The regular meeting of the Dublin Village Counoil! was held on Mar. 4, 1968 at 8 :00 PM at the Munioipal Building with Mayor Jaok Frambes presiding. Roll call was held as follows: Denney, present; Dixon, presemt; Karrer, pres- ent; ~~Coy, present; Sheldon, present; Ulrey,present. The soheduled Publio Hearing on the MOGWrer rezoning request was oalled to order.Mr. Clark Loofburrow spoke as the representative of the MoGurer's. He stated that an oil 00. was interested in the properly for a servioe station and later a motel. He stated that thecuse waS' in line with the plan for thecVillage and that Council should oonsider the taxes to be derived therefrom. He also answered questions from Counoil regarding the timetable for developement etc. The issue was turned over to the many visitors for their questions and oo:rnments. Approximately ten of the twenty or more visitors' asked questions and expressed strong opposition to the proposed rezonUng. Council was presented with a petition signed by sixty or more reS'idents' of the area whioh opposed the rezoning. Mr John Williams representing Mrs. Abbott, a olose neighbor to the property in question, spoke in opposition, citing several reasons why the request should be denied. At this time , it was moved by Karrer to table the question until the April I, 1968 meeting. The motion W8$ seoonded; by Ulrey. vote thereon was unanimous. Eger 26.50 Dixon moved, seoonded by Denney, to pay the bills. Vote thereon wa.s unanimous. Sheldon introduoed Ord. 12-68, aooepting the bid of Heanlee Refuse for traSh removal in the Village. Ulrey moved, seconded by Karrer, to dispense with the three time reading rule. Vote on the motion was unanimous. Vote on the Ordinanoe was' unanimous. o Sheldon introduoed ord. 13-68, rejeoting all bids' on the Monterey Dr, storm sewer and instruoting the olerk to readverlize for bids. Dixon moved, seoonded by McCoy, to dispensaswith the three tine reading rule. Vote on the motion was unanimous. Vote on the Ordinanoe was unanimous. Dixon introduoed ord. 14-68, prbhibiting the removal of ordinanoes, resolu- tions, and notioes posted in the village. Karrer moved, seoonded by Sheldon to dispense with the three tthme reading rule. Vote on the moY'ion was unanimous. Vote on the ordinanoe was unanimous. 248 Counoil disouss'6d the siyuation with HUD and deoided that the Solioitor should prepare letters over the 1~yorts signature to our Senators asking that the deadline be moved baok to allow time to implement the various requirements for the Grant. o The Eberly zoning ordinanoe amendmeny was disoussed but no aotion taken.
