HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/24/1967 ~22 A speoial meeting of the Dublin Village Council was held at 8 :00 PM at the ~funioipal Building on April 24, 1967 with Mayor Jaok Frambes presiding. Roll call was held as follows: Dixon, present; Karrer, present; N~Coy. present; Sheldon, present; Smith, present; Ulrey, present. Glenn McClelland spoke regarding the prospeotive buyer of the 1.59 Aore traat that he requests to be rezoned to oommeroia1 district II B II. This is an old established institution that wants to serve area. l'.lCClelland to give assurance to buyer that remainder of land wil:ll not be inoonsistant with their usage. ll..r. J:J.ioClalland assured Counoil that no Junk, odors or other objeotionable uses: would be present. Counoil preferred to zone the traot to distriot II C U but was informed that the buyer would not agree due to time element and re-sale poss~bilities if the need arose. Dixon introduoed Ord. 11-67 rezoning the 1.59 aore traot from residential to Commeroial Distriot ~ B ". Ulrey moved, seconded by Karrer, to dispense with the three time reading rule. Vote on the motion was unanimous. Vote on the Ord. 11-67 wms': Dixon, yes; Karrer, yes; J.lfJcCoy, no; Sheldon, yes; Smith, yes; Ulrey, no. Ord. 11-67 passed. John .Moffitt informed Counoil that the only hope for the utility stub appr0va.l was the GovenQur. l'iJoffitt has oomparitive oost eSibimates ready and is going to try to arrange an interviw with the Govenor.
