The regular monthly meeting of the Dublin Village Counoil was> held at the
MunioipalBuilding at 8:00 P.M. on Ootober 4, 1965 with Mayor Lewis Geese
presiding.
Roll oall was: held as' follows;J Dixon, present; Karrer, absent; Sheldon,
present; Smith, present; Ulrey, present; Waoker, present.

Dixon moved, seoonded by Waoker, that the bills be paid. Vote on the
motion: Sheldon, yes; Smith, yes; Ulrey, yes. Karrer, absent.
Minutes of the Sept. 13, 1965 meeting were read. Sheldon moved, seoonded
by Ulrey, thart; the minutes; be approved 8.S1 read. Vote on the motion was;:
Dixon, ye8:; Smith, yes;; Waoker, yes. K&~rer, absent.
The Solioitor reported that no answer had as yet been reoeived from the
offer to buy the property needed for the new Village building.

Counoil heard from Mr. Smith, a future Dootor of Veterinarian Medioine,
who presented a plan for remodling and modernizing the Litzinger prop-
erty on Bridge into a Vet.rinarian Hospital. Dr. Smith waIJ supported in
his presentation by Drs. Jones and Gabel, both of whom M"e assooiates of
Dr. Smith.Sinoe this type of usage is presently prohibited by the Village
Zoning Ordinanoe, Dr. Smith was referred to the Zoning And Planning Comm.
A letter from the Zoning and Planning Comm. was read wherein was: the reo-
oOIllIllendation that oertain ohanges be made in the Village Zoning Ordinanoe
as it applies to Veterinarian Hospitals. Sinoe this ohange was reoooIll1ll8nded
for area " B " only and the proposed Hospital is in area ft ~ · the letter
wa's returned to the Planning and Zoning Comm. as a result of a motion
made by Sheldon, seoonded by Smith. Vote on the motion was: Dixon, yesJ
Ulrey, yeS'; Waoker, yes.
Another letter from the Zoning and Planning Comm.. waS' read along with
three aooompanying letters from the :effeoted property owners. This letter
reooommended to Counoi1 that oertain properties be re-zoned from res.jag.
to oommercia1, distriot " B ".Sheldon moved, seoonded by Dixon that a
public hearing be held at 8:00 P.M. November 9, 1965 to oonsider the
nque8't of Herbert W. Bash. Vote on the motion was: Smith, yes; Ulrey,
yes; Waoker, yes.Smith moved, seoonded by Waoker that a Publio Hearing J
be held at 8 :30 P.M. November 9, 1965 to oonsider the request of Glenn .. ..

The olerk was; instruoted to prepare the neoessary notioes and to post

The Planning Work Program of the plannerS' for the Dublin Comprehensive
Plan waS' read and disoussed. Counoil was informed of a meeting betw.en
the planners and the Village Planning and Zoning Comm., that was> to take
plaoe at the next; meeting of that Connnission on Ootober 5. 1965.
Counoil wa'Be invited to sit in and meet the representitive from the planning
organization.
