The regular meeting of the Dublin Village Counoil was held on July 12. 1965
st 8:00 P.M. at the MUnioipal Building with Mayor ~is Geese presiding.

Minutes of the June 7, 1965 meeting were read. Sheldon moved, seoonded by Dixon
that the minutes be approved as read. Vote thereon was unanimous.
The following bills were submitted for payment;

Dixon moved, seoonded by Smith that the bills be approved for payment. Vote
thereon was unanimous.
Resolution 03-65. aooepting the 1966 Budget was introduoed by Sheldon. Dixon
seoonded the motion. Vote on the resolution was unanimous.
Ordinanoe 11-65, acoepting the oontraot with the Gas Co. was introduoed by
Smith. The oontraot oovers rates and term of the servioe to be offered the
residents of the Village. Dixon moved, seoonded by Sheldon to dispense with the
"three time reading rule" due to the urgenoy of the matter. Vote on the
motion was unanimous. Vote on the Ordinanoe was unanimous.
The Solioitor was instruoted by Counoil to ask for a oounter offer to his
latest offer to t"he owners of the property under oonsideration for a Village
garage. If this fails, the Sblioitor was asked to obtain the servioes of an -
appraissor to determine a fair prioe for the property.
The olerk was instruoted to advertise for bids on the widening of the alley
beside Smith's garage in that the oost was expeoted to exoeed t 1.000.00.
The Village Engineers are to be oontaoted to as sist in preparation of' the
speoifioations.

Dsvid Headlee asked for and reoeived approval to piok up trash on Mondays
instead of Saturdays as done now.

The olerk was instruoted to notify several property owners that weeds
on their properties were in need of mowing. The Marshall was to provide
a list of names and addresses.
Council was advised that the drainage problem at the rear of 63 S.
Riverview was being oorreoted by the installation of a new larger drop.
Permission was given by the Washington Twp. Trustees to hold a get
aquainted meeting for the residents in the Firehouse so that the Gas Co.
representitives oould speak to the potential userSeThe meeting was set
for July 20, 1965 at 8,00 P.M.
Smith presented Counoil with a oopy of the ordinanoes of the oity of
Arlington. It was felt that Dublin might profit from a study of some of
the laws that Arlington has enaoted. The solioitor was given possession
of the book.
Upon the reoommendation of the Solioitor, a publio hearing was soheduled
for Monday, September 13, 1965 for the purpose ot disoussing an amnand-
ment to the Village Zoning Ordinanoe, Seotion 2a. to give the Planning
and. Zoning Commission the power to waive the minimum area requirements
for lots in oertain instanoes and for oertain types of buildings. The
ol.rk was instruoted to post notioes to this effeot.
