Vote on the motion: Mr. Peterson, yes, Mr. Keeler, yes; Ms. Alutto, yes. REVI CATTII NS Ms. Alutto stated that there are more requests for grant monies than are budgeted. The Committee will hear testimony from all applicants and will then discuss and make recommendation for allocation of the available grant funds. I' � I IT U011 I I Irk, Representative: David Gulon, Executive Director Request: $16,000 Representative.- Tom Holto Request: $4,166.98 1 Dublin Music Boosters — Dublin Band Show Representative: Danielle Hodge Request: $1,,100 Ms. Hodge, Vice President of the Dublin Music Boosters representing Dublin Jerome High School, was present to discuss the Dublin Band Showcase. The event was canceled this year, but they are planning for October 2021. They typically host 15-20 marching bands from all over Ohio. It is a Finance Committee Minutes 12-02-20 Page 4 of 8 Representative — Bruce Obenour Request: '$8,000 Representative: 3ohn Muir Request: 114,201 Mr. Muir was representing the Dublin Soccer League (DSL) and their Charity Cup Soccer Tournament held over Labor Day weekend. They are hopeful that 2021 with bring a larger tournament. Mr. Muir divided their request into the following categories: City Services - $5000, athletic support - $1700, and a virtual facelift for the DSL website. Ms. Alutto thanked Mr. Muir for the information. Representative: Chuck Stephens Request: $7,000 In response to Mr. Keeler"s question to clarify the request amount, Mr. Stephens stated that the request was for $7,,000, but the application was submitted before they received the bill for this year, which was closer to $12,000. He requested to increase the request amount if possible. Ms. Alutto thanked Mr. Stephens for participating in the meeting. Finance Committee Minutes 12-02-20 Page 5 of 8 171 1=11 RM Representative: David Hannan, Director of Travel Basebali" Request: $21,000 0 Historic Dublin Business Association (HDBA) Representative.: Rick Gerber Request: $50,000 S OhIoPrernier Soccer Representative: Nicole Cobb Request: $7,505 Ms. Cobb, Event Coordinator for Ohio Premier Soccer,, represented the organization for their annual soccer tournament held in the fall. This tournament is the largest fundraiser for the organization. They bring about 1,000 hotel nights per year. The request is the same as last year to be used for park rental, park services and police. Ms, Alutto thanked Ms. Cobb for her information. * World Archery Ohio — Buckeye Classic Representative -.- Chris Worthen Request: $25,000 Mr. Worthen expressed his enthusiasm for the Buckeye Classic event and stated that they usually have around 271 participants and 600 attendees. The requested funds would be used for event 4 infrastructure such as supply tents, fencing, and restroom facilities, The Committee had no questions.
