Mayor Peterson called the Monday, June 1.7, 2019, Work Session of Dublin City Council to order at
6,-,08 p.m. at Dublin City Hall.

Paez, Ms. Gilger, Mr. Gracia, Ms. Ray, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Krawetzki, Ms. Burness, Mr.

Also present were Deborah Cummings and Ryan Helwig of TEConomy Partners, LLC.

Ms. Cummings stated that the goal of tonight's session is to reach consensus so that they can
begin the process of drafting the full document for Council"s review on August 5. They can also
address any further questions about regional benchmarking after the presentation tonight,, as
additional information was provided in the packet in response to Council"s request.

Ms. Alutto stated they mentioned collaborative talks and bringing IT industry people together. How
does the City determine with data, based on those conversations and interaction, how helpful

Mr. Reiner asked about redevelopment of older office buildings. Over the years, Council, staff and
PZC members have taken field trips to gather new ideas for redevelopment and development. Are
there places to visit where these consultants have seen pods of redevelopment that have
revitalized older areas? It would be worthwhile to see where this has occurred successfully,

Ms. Cummings stated that she will provide a more thoughtful response prior to the next session,
but what comes to mind now are more urban, downtown centers — maybe not as relevant. She will
suggest some that are more analogous to Dublin for their discussion.
Mr. Helwig presented the second strategic growth platform — mobl"110ty technologi*es.

For reasons of time, she will move ahead on the remaining slides. She noted that the older
building inventory coupled with the fact that the flex R&D space is at two percent vacancy means
Dublin is out of office and building space for development and the tax base cannot grow without
space for thecompanies who will pay the taxes.

thereby reducing uncertainty of timing and reducing costs to conduct business in Dublin.

To summarize, there are final costs needed for these items, but planning continues for the CIP.
The CIP is a working document and can be adjusted if situations should change.

Mayor Peterson summarized that Council will provide input on the proposed CIP to staff prior to
the August 5 work session.
Mr. McDaniel requested that Council provide some lead time to respond to any questions
submitted for the August 5 work session.
