HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 015-19RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Dayton Legal Blank, Inc., Form No. 30045 Resolution No. 15-19 Passed A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE 2019 SHARED -USE PATH MAINTENANCE PROGRAM .20 WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter and Chapter 37 of the Dublin Code, for the 2019 Shared -Use Path Maintenance Program; and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Decker Construction Company constitutes the lowest and best bid. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, X7 of its elected members concurring, .that: Section 1. The bid submitted by Decker Construction Company in the total amount of $295,302.07 is hereby accepted. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with Decker Construction Company for performance and completion of the 2019 Shared -Use Path Maintenance Program pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal and Contract Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer. Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to implement this Ordinance and complete the Project. This project provides maintenance in various locations for the shared -use path network. Please see the attached map for general locations. For Council's reference, a reduced set of project construction drawings has been placed in the Council Planning Room. The Engineers estimate for this project is $380,000. The budgeted funds for this Shared -Use Maintenance Program in the 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Program are $380,000 from account AT1938 Decker Construction submitted the lowest and best bid of $295,302.07. Staff has reviewed all bids and a summary of the bids received is listed below. Staff has thoroughly reviewed the bid submitted by Decker Construction Company. Previous experience with Decker Construction Company has been favorable, including these projects: 2018 Shared -Use Path Maintenance Program, 2015 Street Maintenance Program - Part 1 and Dublin Road Shared Use Path - Phase 2 (2013). Decker Construction Company has also been a sub- contractor for concrete work on past Street Maintenance Programs.
