ORDINANCE NO. VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
ACCEPTING PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
i
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State
of.Ohio, �j members elected thereto concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Petition of Herman A. Lanning, et al.
for the annexation to the Village of Dublin of the following
described territory in the County of Franklin and adjacent to
the Village of Dublin, to -wit:
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, Township
of Perry, being Lots 2, 3, 4, 11 and 12 of Quarter Township
3, Township 2 North, Range 19 West, United States Military
Lands and being more particularly bounded and described as
follows:
Beginning in the northeast corner of Lot 15, owned by Jean
D. Abbott, in Meadowland Heights Number 1, recorded in Plat
Book 27, Page 60, in the Franklin County Recorder's Office,
Franklin County Court House, Columbus, Ohio, the west right-
of-way line of Sawmill Road, the south property line of
Troy Enterprises Incorporation 5.754 acre tract; and the
Village of Dublin Corporation Line, established by Ordinance
No. 14-65, by the Council of the Village of Dublin, (for
proceedings see Miscellaneous Records Volume 13, Page 617,
in the said Recorder's Office); ,
Thence southerly from said beginning point and the west
right-of-way line of Sawmill Road, and the east property
line of Lots 15 and 14, Meadowland Drive, 50 feet in width,
Lots 13 to 6 inclusive, Reserve "A", Lots 5 to 1 inclusive,
Cthe owners names, lot number and parcel number are listed
at the bottom of plat page), said right-of-way line being
40.0 feet westerly at right angles from and running parallel
with the centerline of Sawmill Road, a distance of
approximately 1760.0 feet more or less to an iron pin set
by Meadowland Heights Number 1;
Thence easterly at right angles a distance of approximately
10.0 feet more or less to a point which is 30.0 feet west
at right angles from the centerline of Sawmill Road;
Thence southerly with the west right-of-way line of Sawmill
Road 60.0 feet in width, (30.0 feet west at right angles
from and running parallel with the centerline of Sawmill
Road), passing the east property lines of Tremarco
Corporation, 0.665 Acre Tract, Amcol Development Corporation
1.973 acre tract, and 4.241 acre tract, R. A. & D. S. Hanf,
0.595 acre tract and Tressie L. C. DeLong 4.018 acre tract,
a distance of approximately 1245.0 feet more or less to a
point which is 300.0 feet more or less from the centerline
of Martin Road;
Thence westerly from said point, crossing Acme Holding
Company, 30.891 acre tract, crossing Paul E. Garner, et al
(4), 20.0 acre tract, following the south property lines of
J. A. & E. C. Helm, 0.686 acre tract, R. M. & L. E. Dowalter,.
0.686 acre tract, B. J. & R. M. Carrocco, 0.696 acre tract
and C. E. & D. E. Calhoun, 0.686 acre tract, crossing Acme
Holding Company 56.65 acre tract, following the south
property lines of G. Jr. & E. L. Miller 0.686 acre tract,

distance of approximately 300.0 feet more or less to the
northeast corner of a 0.668 acre tract owned by George W.
Ganter;
Thence southwesterly with the north property line of the
said 0.668 acre tract and the south property line of the
said 8.1043 acre tract, a distance of approximately 175.0
feet more or less to the City of Columbus property line,
and the corporation line of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, as
shown in Plat Book 3, Page 199, in the said Franklin County
Recorder's Office;
Thence northerly with the west property line of John E.
Vargo Incorporation 8.1043 acre tract and the City of
Columbus east property line, 8.57 acre tract, a distance of
approximately 325.0 feet more or less to the existing
corporation line of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, filed in
Plat Book 3, Page 199, in the said Franklin County Recorder's
Office;
Thence northwesterly with the existing corporation line of
the Village of Dublin, Ohio, passing through the City of
Columbus property and crossing Marysville -Dublin Road or
Route 161, a distance of approximately 2535.0 feet more or
less to a point in said Corporation line, established by
Ordinance Number C-1-61, by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, Ohio, (for proceedings see Miscellaneous Records
Volume Number 128, Page 451, filed in the Franklin County
Recorder's Office); !
Thence easterly with the said Corporation line of the Village]
of Dublin crossing the Dublin -Prospect Road, a distance of
approximately 59.0 feet more or less to the east right-of-way;

Thence in a southeasterly direction with -the existing
Corporation line of the, Village of Dublin; established by
Ordinance Number C-1-61, by Council of the Village of Dublin,
Ohio, (for proceedings see Miscellaneous Records Volume

Recorder's Office), following a curve to the left having a_

tangent point in the north right-of-way line of Marysville -
Dublin Road, or (State Route 161);
Thence continuing with the said Corporation Line of the
Village of Dublin, the right-of-way line of Marysville -
Dublin Road or (State Route 161), the south property line
of Greater Ohio Realty Investment, 48.893 acre tract, a
distance of approximately 352.0 feet more or less to an angle
point;
Thence southerly with the Corporation line of the Village of,
Dublin and the right-of-way line of Marysville and Dublin
Road, a distance of approximately 10.0 feet more or less to
an angle point;

Amusement Company, 20.838 acre tract and a 5.0 acre tract,
a distance of approximately 1540.0 feet more or less to the
southeast corner of the said 5.0 acre tract;
Thence northerly with the east property line of the said
5.0 acre tract, and the west property line of Charles W.
Warner Jr. and Edward E. Belz, 6.0 acre tract, a distance of
approximately 1110.0 feet more or less to the south property
line of the Liberty Amusement Company, 26.278 acre tract;
Thence westerly with the south property lines of the said
26.278 acre tract, Samuel McGurer, 36.258 acre tract, the
Troy Enterprises Incorporation 5.754 acre tract, a distance
of approximately 2370.0 feet more or less to the place of
beginning containing 282.744 acres more or less in Perry
Township to be annexed to the Village of Dublin, Ohio.
an accurate map of which territory together with its petition for
its annexation and other papers relating thereto, and a certified
transcript of the proceedings of the County Commissioners in
relation thereto, are on file wi_th_the Clerk of Council of said
Village, be and the same hereby is accepted.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

IN PERRY TOWNSHIP TO THE VILLAGE OF
DUBLIN, OHIO - GRANTED
Pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Franklin County, Ohio, on April 12, 1972, granting agent, James H. Furlong,
leave to file an amended plat and description for the proposed annexation of
approximately 282.744+ Acres in Perry Township to the Village of Dublin,Ohio,
the agent, James H. Furlong, filed the amended plat and description, said
amended description reads as follows;
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, Township of Perry, being
Lots 2, 3, 4, ll, and 12 of Quarter Township 3, Township 2 North, Range 19
West, United States Military Lands and being more particularly bounded and
described as follows:
Beginning in the northeast corner of Lot 15, owned by Jean D. Abbott, in

The Board having considered all of the facts with reference thereto, and
being fully advised, finds that said amended petition contains all the manner
required by law; that the territory sought to be annexed is adjacent and con-
tiguous to said Village of Dublin, Ohio; that the amended petition contains
a full and complete description of said territory sought to be annexed; that
the map for said territory attached to said amended petition is accurate; that
said amended petition is signed by a majority of the adult freeholders owning
real estate within the territory sought to be annexed; that the territory
sought to be annexed is not unreasonably large; and the general good of the
territory sought to be annexed will be served if the annexation petition is
granted;
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED, on motion of Mr. Cooper, seconded by Mr.
Dorrian, that the prayer of said petition as amended be granted; and that the
territory described in said amended petition be annexed to the Village of
Dublin, Ohio, in accordance with the law; and that the orders and proceedings
of this Board relating to said matter be deposited at once with the Clerk of
the Village of Dublin, Ohio.

WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Franklin County, Ohio, fixing March 8, 1972 at 10:00 A.M., for hearing
on the application of Herman A. Lanning, et al., for annexation of 1421+
acres in Perry Township to the Village of Dublin, Ohio.
and,
WHEREAS, on March 8, 1972, same came on for hearing before the Franklin
County Board of County Commissioners, at which time action was deferred,
Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, on motion of Mr. Cooper, seconded by Mr. Corrian, that
action on petition of Herman A Lanning, et al., 1421+ acres in Perry Town-
ship to the Village of Dublin, Ohio by Herman A. Lanning, et al., be and
it hereby is deferred until April 5, 1972.

WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Franklin County, Ohio, fixing February 17, 1971 at 10:00 A.M., for the
hearing on the petition of Herman Lanning, et al., for annexation of 1421+
Acres in Perry Township to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, and
WHEREAS, ON February 17, 1971, action was continued until May 12, 1971,
lat 10:00 A.M.,
Now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, on motion of Mr. Dorrian, seconded by Mr. Cooper, that
the public hearing for Herman Lanning, et al., being a petition to annex
1421+ Acres in Perry Township to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, be and it hereby
is continued until May 12, 1971 at 10:00 A.M.

at 10:00 A.M.
Enclosed please find a copy of the resolution adopted by the Board of County
Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on Dec tuber 11�6 970 relative to the
annexation of territory described in the petit on filed by you, as agent, to the
Village of Dublin, Ohio which resolution sets forth the time and place for
hearing on the petition.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 709.03 of the Ohio Revised Code,
it is necessary that you cause a notice containing the substance of the petition
and the time and place where it will be heard to be published once a week for a
period of four consecutive weeks, prior to the hearing, in a newspaper printed
and of general circulation -in the county.
A copy of said notice is to be delivered to the clerk of each township, any portion
of which is included within the territory sought to be annexed, and to the clerk
of the legislative authority of the minicipal corporation to which annexation is
proposed.
The agent for the petitioners shall cause written notice of the filing of the
petition with the Board of County Commissioners and the date of such filing to
be delivered to the clerk of the legislative authority of the municipal corporation
to which annexation is proposed and to the clerk to each township any portion of
which is included within the territory sought to be annexed. (Furnish proof in
duplicate).
At the time of the hearing, the Board should be furnished a proof of publication,
together with proofs of notification of tavnship clerk and the clerk of the legis-
lative authority of the municipal corporation to which annexation is proposed. (In

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County
Ohio, that the petition for annexation of certain adjacent territory to the
Village of Dublin, Ohio, signed by Herman A. Lanning, et al., and appointing
James H. Furlong, as agent for said territory being described as follows:
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, Township to Perry,
and being part of Quarter Township 3, Township 2 North, Range 19 West,
U. S. Military Lands and being more particularly bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing Village of Dublin, Ohio
Corporation LIne as said line was established by annexation proceedings
recorded in Miscellaneous Records Book 138, Page 617, records of the
Franklin County Reocrder's office, said point being 30 feet westerly of
the original centerline of Sawmill Road, said point also being easterly
10.0 feet from the northeasterly corner of Lot No. 15, Meadow Lands
Heights Subdivision as the same is shown of record in Plat Book 27, Page
60 of the aforementioned reocrds; thence easterly and corssing said
Sawmill Road, a distance of 87.41 feet, more or less, to a point in the
easterly right-of-way line of said Sawmill Road, said point being 60

The undersigned, petitioners in the premises, and being a majority of
the adult freeholders of a certain area as hereinafter described, consisting
of 1421."_"' acres, more or less, in the Township of Perry, (Washington
Township District), which is contiguous and adjacent to the Village of Dublin,
hereby pray that said territory be annexed to the Village of Dublin, according
to the statutes of the State of Ohio. A full and accurate description and
plat of said territory so prayed to be annexed are attached hereto and made
part hereof.
In support of said Petition, your petitioners state that there are
within the area so prayed to be annexed 336 adult freeholders:
Jades H. Furlong, is hereby appointed Agent for the undersigned Petitioners,
as required by Section 709.02 of the Revised Code of Ohio. Said agent is
hereby authorized to make any amendment and/or deletion which in his absolute
and complete discretion is necessary or proper under the circumstances then
existing, and in particular to make such amendment in order to correct any
discrepancy or mistake noted by the Franklin County Engineer in his examination
of the petition and plat. Said amendment shall be made by the presentation of
an amended plat and description to the Board of County Commissioners on, before,
or after the date set for hearing on this PeVLtion.
