Communications During Construction
The following communication methods will be used to relay construction information with residents
throughout the duration of this project:
• Advisory signs are placed in advance of construction to notify residents of upcoming
construction work and any parking lot closures.
• The City of Dublin Engineering Division construction updates to the website provides
current construction schedule information.
• Social Media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) is used to communicate timely
construction updates.
Recommendation
Staff has thoroughly reviewed the bid submitted by Chemcote, Inc. While the City has not
contracted directly with Chemcote, Inc. in the past several years, previous private subdivision
roadway and private parking lot construction work in the City by Chemcote, Inc. has been
performed to acceptable standards. Additionally, Chemcote has performed asphalt paving on
numerous subdivision streets constructed within new residential developments that have then
been accepted as public improvements by the City.
Staff recommends Council approval of Resolution No. 24-18, accepting as lowest and best the bic
of Chemcote, Inc. in the amount of $318,947.71 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a
contract with Chemcote, Inc. for this project.
