The August 1, 1977 meeting of the Vi
by Mayor Charles Coffman. Roll Call
present; Catherine Headlee, present; Robert Karrer, present; Jacob Shawan,
present; Wilbur Ulrey, present. The minutes of the July 18 meeting were read,
Geese moved approval, Karrer seconded, all voted in favor of approval.
The following bills were submitted for payment;

Ulrey moved payment of the bills, Karrer seconded, all voted in favor.

Counoil received a letter from the Dublin Community Church requesting that all
alleys running through ohurch property, that have not been vacated, be
vacated. Solicitor to check into. Counoil received a letter from Dan THeel
builders asking that steel pipe under driveways on two lots be approved,
counoil supported building inspectors decision that pipe must be conorete.
Ordinance 50-77 establishing definitions in the income tax ordinance was
in'tloduced by Karrer and read for the first time, Callahan moved that the last '.." <'t;.l
paragraph of section 361.25 be deleted, Shawan seconded, all voted in favor.

Ordinance 51-77 amending the Columbus contraot for inoome tax colleotion was
introduced by Geese and read for the first time.
Ordinance 52-77 appointing David :Butler, Riohard Hatfield, David Munk, STeven
Andrick and Randy Louks for a probationary period of six months as reserve
police officers was introduced by Geese and read for the first time, Ulrey
moved, Shawan secoJiBd to dispense with the three time reading rule and pass as
an emergency measure, all voted infavor of the motion and the ordinance.
Ordinanoe 53-77 providing for a ohange in zoning of 2.458 acres south of
Martin Road from R-2 to R-4 was introduced by Karrer and read for the first
time. A publio hearing on the rezoning to be held SEptember 19, 1977 at 7:30.
Susan WEaver of the MORPC briefly disoussed a minimium model housing oode and
recommended a committee to study, Mayor Coffman suggested that names of persons
for the oommittee be given to the village adminstrator.
Council briefly discussed a compensation plan for all village employees, Mayor
Coffman named council members Ulrey, Shawan and Callahan to study such a plan.

At the suggestion of councilman Geese counoil approved an additional telephone
line for polioe calls and the purchase of an additional radar unit for approx-
imately $1900.00 with trade in of old VASCAR unit.
