The May 16, 1977, meeting of the Village of Dublin council was called to order
by Mayor Charles Coffman. Roll call as fOllows-Callahan, present; Geese, pre-
sent; Headlee, present; Karrer, present; Shawan, present; Ulrey, present.
The minutes of the May 2 meeting were read, Headlee moved approval, Karrer
seconded, all voted in favor of approval. The following bills were submitted
for payment:

The clerk read a letter from Park and Recreation board noting approval of
preliminar,y plans for Monterey Park and beginning of discussions with school
officials concerning a swim pool, and a letter from the Board of Zoning appeals
on action approving a sign on the Geese and Alder property south of Rings-
Shier Road.
Council onetagain ~iscussed street lighting, wanting more information on cost
comparison on types of fixtures and bulbs.
Lorenzo Sheets, pepresenting the fireboard, asked that the fire department be
informed when road cuts are going to be made and acting fire chief Dick Brown
asked about enforcement of the fire code particularly concerning the tents
at Muirfield for the golf tournament. Mayor Coffman explained that he had
granted permission to erect the tents but that fire inspection was to take
place.
Ordinance 29-77 concerning National Flood Insurance was read for a third time,
all voted in favor of the ordinance.
Ordinance 32-77 concerning supplements to the Village Code of Ordinances was
read for a second time.

Karrer moved, Geese seconded and it was unamimously passed to accept the Parks
and Recreation Board's recommendations to accept the preliminary plans for
Montery Park and to pass these plans on to the Bureau of Recreation.
Bids ranging from $543,050.00 to $607,500.00 for the municip~l building were
received and reviewed by C01UlCil. Shawan moved, Callahan seconded and it was
unamimously passed to procee~ and ask for bids for notes in the amount of
$423,000.00 in order to let contracts to start the base building and alternate
#1.
