The July 19, 1976, meetingof the Village of Dublin council was called to order by Mayor Charles Coffman. Roll Call as follows; William Callahan, present; Ronald Geese, present; Catherine Headlee, present; Charles Hicks, absent; Robert Karrer, present; Wilbur Ulrey, absent. The minutes of the July 6 meet ing were read, Karrer moved approval, Geese seconded, all present voted in favo . Ordinance 49-76 confirming the appointment of Robin Geis as a full time polic officer was read for a third time, vote as follows- Callahan, yes; Geese, yes Headlee, no; Hicks, absent; Karrer, yes; Ulrey, ab.. Ordinance 53-76 an agreement between the village and Designers Forum Inc for a land use plan was read for a second time. Geese moved acceptance of resolution 39-76 expressing appreciation to the Sertoma Club for work done in the park at Coffman Road, Headlee seconded, all present voted in favor. ",... Headlee moved that the money ~eceived from donations for the 24 hour reaay be placed in the Park and Recreation Fund, Karrer seconded, all present voted in favor. Council appDOved a letter of appreciation to all of those who part- icipated in the relay. Emmett Kar~rer, representing the Dublin HIstorical SOCiety, noted three ttems 1) the naming of the Coffman Road park and presented a petition asking the park to be named Coffman Park 2) an interest in researching about the old cemeteries in the village 3) the old Butler place has been purchased and the old house is built around an old log cabin and he asked if the council had an interst in preserving the cabin. Headlee explained the recreation board's reasons for the naming of the park Green Glen Park. Jim Richard presented the quarterly report of the cemetery committee. Mayor Coffman asked for council opinion concerning the 90 foot casing require ment for wells, noting that some areas in the village do not need wells that deep, council asked solicitor to research this ordinance.
