Amendments to Ordinances 37A-76 and 37P-76 were introduced by
hy ~1.... Karrer and read fol' the fil'st time. '1rs. Headlee moved
to chango a certain section of the amendments, hut the motion
fa i I ed for I ack of a second. 'II". Ca II aha" moved, secon ded hy
\~r. Karrel' that rcqu i rements for Lieutenant shou I d i nc I ude
18 months experience ahove the rank of Patrolman, and the
i'cqu i rements for Sel'gcant shou I d i nc lude at I east 4 years
experience as a Patrolman. All present voted in favor of the

Ordinance 37A-76 promoting Sgt. Vance to Lieutenant was read
for the third time. Vote was Callahan, yes, Geese, yes, Head-
lee, NO, Karrer, yes and Ulrey, yes. Ordinance passed.

Ordinance 41-76 deal ins with the appointment of Terry Bartow
as a Reserve Police Officer was read for the third time. AI I
present voted in favor of the Ordinance.

Resolution 25-76 dealing with issuing bonds for the construction
of River Forest waterlines was read for the third time. After a
lenghty discussion the vote i\'as Callahan, yes, Geese, yes,

Ordinance 42-76 dealing with improvement of the intersection of
33-257-161 was read for the second time. ~r. Geese moved that
the Ordinance be voted on as an emei'oency and moved to dispense
with the tlwee time reading rule, seconded by '11". ~~arrel'. All
present voted in favor of the motion and the Ordinance.
