The August 18, 1975 meeting of the Village of Dublin council was calJe d to
order by the Mayor Joseph Dixon. Roll call- Charles Coffman, present; Lewis
Geese, present; Catherine Headlee, present; Charles Hicks, present; Robert
Karrer, present; Wilbur Ulrey, prsent. The minutes of the August 4 meeting
were read, Karrer moved approval, Headlee seconded, all voted in favor of
approval. The minutes of the August 5 s.pecial meeting were read, Ulrey moved
approval, Geese seconded, all voted in favor of approval.

Ordinance 45-75 setting the rate of pay, hours of work and benefits for the
chief of police was read for the third time, vote on the ordinan ce was
unamimous.
Ordinance 49-75 setting a new hourly wage for maintainence men Robert Eger and
Charles Pressly was read for the second time.
Resolution 37-75 setting a time and place for a public hearing on the rezoning
of 105 acres on Dublin Road nort'] of Brand Road from R-l to R-2 & R-4 was
introduced by Karrer and read by the clerk, Coffman moved to dispense with the
three time reading rule, Hicks seconded, all vot d in favor of the motion and
the resolution.
Resolution 38-75 accepting certain easements for waterline and stations was
introduced b Coffman and read b the clerk, Karrer moved to dispense with the
three time reading rule, Coffman seconded, all voted in ~aVor o~ the motion and
the resolution.
Ordinance 50-75 appointing Gary Lee Cooper as a res?rve police officer on a
six months probationary basis was introduced by Geese and read by the clerk,
Ulrey moved to dispense with the three time re2ding rule, Cof~man seconded,
vote on motion- Coffman, yes; Geese, yes; Henrllee, no; Hicks, yes; Karrer, yes;
Ulrey, yes. Vote on the ordinance- Co~f.man, yes; Geese, yes; Headlee, no;
Hicks, yes; Karrer, yes; Ulrey, yes.

Karrer moved, Coffman seconded thnt in section one of resolution 36-75 the
clerk insert by interlineation the following-after the phrase by the acquistion
of real estate, add the following, Qr easements, Qr other interest in ~ esta e,
all voted in f~or of the motion.
The clerk read a letter from the village adminstrator noting that he had
redeived a call from Howard Sandusky of the Franklin County Board of Health
stating that a freeze has been placed on the building of new homes in the
Riber Forest area until the sanitary problems are cleared up.

The village received a request for a rezoning request of 10 acres on West Brid
Street which is North and Enst of Amcol, Geese moved, Coffman seconded the
request be passed on to planning and zoning.
Don Richardson reported that the Perry Township fire board would provide fire
hydrant service to the village for $5.00 per hydrant per year. Solicitor to
draw up contract.

Mr Galluchi of Concret Construction protested the breaking into five parts
the sewer oontract, pointing out what he considered could be SOl'lB problems.
After a lenghhly discussion, Ulrey moved, Doffman seconded that any contractor
may bid each contract separately and also, may submit a separate bid for the
ent.ire job. The village reserves th right to accept or jeject any separate
contract or award or reject the entire job to one contractor. All voted in
favor of th motion.
Headlee asked wPY village signs had not been placed at several corporation
limits areas, Sheldon noted that one sign had,ben replaced six times this
summer and that the state will not allow signs on state routes that are not
in the village. Headlee aslo suggested school crossing guards at the lights
on Bridge street and asked that the polioe chief attend the next meeting.
