Based on our staff analysis, it is less expensive to trade our current handguns in for credit towards new handguns than it is to refurbish the current equipment. Additionally, the new handguns have upgraded features that the current handguns do not possess. Expenditures for the purchase of handguns and associated equipment are estimated at ,,?,pproximately $120,000. Funding is included in the 2016 Capital Improvement Program budget- StaN recommends Council adopt Resolution No. 41-16, waiving competitive bidding for the purchase of handguns and associated equipment (i.e. holsters, magazine holders, Simunition training products, etc.) for the Dublin Police Department.
