Form No. 30043 01-99 Ordinance No.--------------------- -- Passed--------------------------------------------------19-------- An Ordinance Authorizing The Purchases Of A 1.917 Acre Tract Of Land For The Expansion Of Coffman Park WHEREAS, a goal of Dublin City Council is to continue to acquire land for parkland and recreation purposes; and WHEREAS, the City is currently expanding the Community Recreation Center; and WHEREAS, a 1.917 acre tract of land that is contiguous to the Community Recreation Center, which is located in Coffman Park, and an eight acre parcel of land recently purchased by the City is available to purchase; and WHEREAS, this parcel will assist in providing a continuous connection of City owned property along Post Road from Emerald Parkway to the City's western boundary and will provide the land necessary to expand the Community Recreation Center parking area; and WHEREASSufficientresnurces are available in the Parkland Acquisition Fund; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide funding authorization to acquire this land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~_ of the elected members concurring that: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Real Estate Purchase Agreement and any necessary closing documents related to the acquisition of the 1.917 acre tract of land as described on the attached Exhibit. ~e~2. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Parkland Acquisition Fund the amount of $120,000 to account 402-0210-780-2510 for the purpose of acquiring the 1.917 acre tract of land and paying any related acquisition costs. ~. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare and for the further reason of executing and closing on the purchase in accordance with the Real Estate Purchase Agreement; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. Area designated as "Preservation Zone" shall remain f~'ee of any structures including, but not limited to, drives, walks, buildings and outbgildings, sheds, swimming pools, decks, swing sets/play structures, satellite dish antennae, basketball courts, etc. Fences shall be permitted in said zone.
