ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE
2005 SCIOTO PARK SHELTERHOUSES IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on February 9, 2005 for the 2005 Scioto I~~
Park Shelterhouses Improvement Project, Council has determined that the base bid ICI

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations to provide funding for

Section 1. That the base bid submitted by :?K General Company in the amount of
$161,994 for the 2005 Scioto Park Shelterhouses Improvement Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the
project as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City s bid
documents on file with the Director of Parks and Open Space.
Section 3. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Capital

RE: Scioto Park Shelterhouses Improvement Project
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, February 9, 200 bids were opened for the Scioto Park Shelterhouses
Improvement Project. The budgeted amount for this project is $310,000.00, of which
$7,900.00 has previously been encumbered. The funds for this project will need to be re-
appropriated.
Four (4) bids were received.
Base Bid
1). The Nadalin Company $249,000.00
2). 2K General Company $161,994.00
3}. Commercial & Industrial Maintenance $230,092.88
4). Kel-Par Co. $202,557.00
This project consists of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the renovation of two
shelterhouses and associated site work.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending adoption of Ordinance no. 14-05, accepting 2K General Company' s
base bid in the amount of $161,994. We have checked references for 2K General Company
and received favorable recommendations.
