This meeting was called by Mayor Yeager for the purpose of
discussing our policing situation. We have been advised that
our present police agency (Suburban Police) operated by Art
Walker has been discontinued, due to Mr. Walker no longer being
a deputy under Sheriff Paul. We are faced with the problem of
furnishing the Village of Dublin with proper police pnotection.
One suggestion was that "it might be possible for the Village of
Dublin, Washington Twp. and Perry Twp. to join in financial aid
and have one person to do the policing for the three districts.
Councilman J. R. Williams was r'econnnended to contact Sheriff Paul
and invite hin, or his representative, to attend our next regular
Council Meeting, Dec. 5th, 1955, and discuss the possibilities
of proper police protection for this area.
Mayor Yeager stated that he was advised by our Solicitor, Mr.
Hunsinger, that we should appoint deputy clerks who would be
eligible to accept any bonds posted by violatol's. The fOllowing.
men were named: John Herron, Mose Meyers and Harold Shriver. /
Motion was made by Karrer and seconded by Larsen that these men
be appointed as deputy clerks.
