Passed AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE JUSTICE CENTER AIR COOLED CHILLER PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Thursday, March 14, 2002 for the Justice Center Air Cooled Chiller Project, Council has determined that the bid submitted by The Limbach Company in the amount of $57,738 is the lowest and best bid for the project, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That the bid submitted by The Limbach Company in the amount of $57,738.00 for the Justice Center Air Cooled Chiller Project is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities. Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and therefore the ordinance shall be effective upon passage. The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $55,000. Three (3) bids were received. Base Bid 1). SFH Inc. $66,600.00 2). Air Force One $87,350.00 3). The Limbach Company $57,738.00 This project consists of the labor and materials for the installation of the Air Cooled Chiller at the Justice Center. This project will replace the obsolete and worn out chillers at this facility. Staff is recommending acceptance of The Limbach Company's base bid of $57,738.00. The Limbach Company has previously done work for the City of Dublin and their work has been satisfactory.
