An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2000 WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental appropriations to be made to an appropriations measure provided sufficient resources are available; and WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary, amendments to the annual appropriations measure to be made in order that appropriations are not over expended; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide funding in certain budget accounts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected member concurring that: Section 1. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the General Fund the amount of $50,000. Of the total, $25,000 is to be appropriated to 101- 0111-710-2374 for job vacancy advertisements, $15,000 to 101-0311-720-2344 for professional services related to rewriting the City's zoning code, and $10,000 to 101-0510-710-2370 for legal advertising. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter. Passed~s ~~h day of ~~~~/ , 2000. Hansley, City Manager Subject: Ordinance No. 97-00, An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance Date: June 30, 2000 Initiated by: Marsha I. Grigsby, Director of Finance ~`c~`~o-- This request for additional appropriations will provide funding authorization for the purposes identified: ° The funding for the job vacancy announcements is the result of turnover experienced in professional level positions and the need to advertise in a wide variety of professional periodicals and journals. ° In accordance with City Council's goal to rewrite the City's zoning, City staff has been working to select a consultant based on a Request For Proposal process. In order to execute an agreement with the preferred consultant, this additional funding authorization is needed. ° Legal advertising costs for City Council meetings and other community meetings (i.e. Southwest Area Plan) will exceed the amount originally estimated for the year.
